lyrics
In the corner of this room rests my fragile vessel of serenity
A fleeting sense of contentment and tranquility confined within
If there was an existence of god, this vehemently intends to be the closest thing to it
At intervals, it's glimmers in a crystalline design, or glows in a dismal amber
My beacon, a guide to summoning lesser demons
My beacon, a guide to summoning lesser demons
Enraptured by its daunting magic
At intervals, it's glimmers in a crystalline design, or glows in a dismal amber
Enraptured by its daunting magic

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch. never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
